THE PUBLICATION

Evidence, dates and corrections

A useful care-work guide preserves the boundaries of its sources. An instruction can be genuine and still belong to a different state, role or period.

Start with the claim, then its scope

We prefer the relevant public agency or program provider for a rule, resource or system description. Each source note explains what the source supports. Training material is evidence of documented guidance, not proof that a particular reader has access or that a workflow was tested here.

Dates do different jobs

The source-check date records when the public reference was reviewed. The publication date records when a notice was issued. The effective date records when the stated change applies. We retain those distinctions and do not describe an old guide as current merely because it remains downloadable.

Resolve conflicts with current authority

A newer, applicable agency bulletin can supersede an older program handout. Virginia’s October 1, 2026 live-in EVV change is an example of why older exemption material needs careful checking. Where the evidence does not settle applicability, we identify the uncertainty and direct the reader to their verified program contact.

Original analysis has a different role

Our reading sequences, fictional examples and local tools help organize questions. They are not official forms, account screens or decisions. Arithmetic is not a wage determination. A resource suggestion does not establish enrollment, eligibility or authority to act for another person.

Corrections

Send the article address, specific statement and public source to lisatomas@gmail.com. Material factual changes should be reflected in the article and its source notes. The source-check date is not a promise of continuous monitoring. We cannot verify or publish private case files.

Sources and limits

Official public sources checked October 18, 2026. Practical examples and reading methods are original editorial analysis, not official procedures. No private account or visit record was inspected.

  1. Virginia DMAS: live-in EVV requirement effective October 1, 2026
